Fillaboa represents the magic of Galicia, the spell of its landscapes, and the seduction of unique vineyards. It is the charm of the legendary estate where it is located, of its gardens, of the Atlantic breeze that rocks centenary trees and mixes with the fragrances of camellias, hydrangeas and magnolias. A stone wall 1,600 meters long, which houses its stately manor house and a stone chapel, are vestiges of its fabulous history. Bodega Fillaboa was founded at the end of the 18th century and has belonged to the Masaveu family since 2000.

It is the only winery in Galicia included in the prestigious Asociación Grandes Pagos de España, which promotes, recognizes and promotes Spanish wines of the highest quality linked to the uniqueness of the terroir and the vineyard where they are born.

All this alchemy is gestated in the 74 hectares of surface of which 50 are of own vineyard divided in 12 different payments of albariño grape planted in undulating hillsides, next to the rivers Tea and Miño, in the border with Portugal. The richness of its soils and the proximity of the sea, the goodness of the Atlantic climate, the abundant rainfall and its mild temperatures, make Fillaboa a privileged enclave for the cultivation of albariño grapes. This autochthonous variety of small berries and sweet taste, originates exceptional white wines recognized by their floral and fruity essence, soft flavor and pleasant refreshing acidity.

Fillaboa’s Albariño wines are born after the meticulous manual harvesting of each plot separately. The musts ferment with autochthonous yeasts selected on the estate itself, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The result is a total production of around 200,000 bottles per year of authentic albariño elixir which, after a delicate aging on fine lees, is bottled in the winery’s own facilities.

This is the magic of Fillaboa wines: fresh, exclusive whites that express the uniqueness of Galicia and its most emblematic grape; they give an attractive aroma of tropical fruits, orange blossom and citrus and give off a characteristic saline air. Fillaboa provokes sensations that have conquered palates and senses all over the world.
